Zones can be seen as an optimal placing of defenders based on the specific position of the disc & offence. If the disc moves very slowly, then it becomes easy for the zone to adjust their positioning and keep the offence in a difficult position. By embracing fast disc movement, an offence can regain the initiative and prevent the zone from resetting into position
