David started his playing career in the UK in 1996 with UTI and Clapham; winning two UK Nationals titles with each club plus the Paganello beach championships. He also represented GB at Junior, Open, Mixed and Masters levels (winning Bronze at 2004 Worlds).

In 2004 he relocated to Melbourne Australia, playing for 2-years with Chilly (winning 2 national titles and Bronze at 2006 World Clubs) before retiring to focus on coaching.

After 10-years coaching Honey women’s team and Chilly open team he and his wife Sarah decided to take their experience to a new country. For the last 12 months they have been running coaching clinics around the Philippines and coaching at club, U24 and school levels. Between them they have over 50 years Ultimate experience and have attended 16 world championships!

Being trapped on the sideline can be daunting for intermediate players. This 3-person play makes it easier for the thrower by giving more options; and helps turn a sideline trap into an attacking position.
Preventing the reset to a dump/swing when trapping a team on the sideline can be highly effective. Here we look at how marking as a defensive pair can be even more effective.
