Holding a defensive position by Annie Glasspool

All players must be capable of holding a defensive position if they want to be effective defenders
Setup:
Player A has the disc.
Player B sets up 10m form the disc.
Defender D1 sets up as a poach in the open lane.
Rotation:
A>B>D1

Pre-Requisite Drills:

Annie Glasspool says:
This feels very basic, but it is common for defenders to let cutters simply run past them.
Encourage D1 to experiment with different ways to defend this space. They could try (a) positioning their body in the way of B and forcing them to 'dance' to get past them, (b) setting up with a buffer that they aim to maintain at all times, (c) committing to winning a foot race
