Setup:

A handler, A, is guarded by D1 who applies a one-way mark. A reset, B, stands 5-10m downfield of A, guarded by D2. A cutter, E, stands 2-3m behind B, with a stack forming behind them. A continuation cutter, C, stands at the back of the stack.

Rotation:

A > B > C > F

Step 1

  • A pivots backwards to fake to F moving towards the back corner of the pitch on the break side

Tips:

  • Brummie says:

    Start slow! Build the pace up as you get used to the pattern.

    The pivot & fake to the continuation cut is absolutely vital; in a real game, each of these would be a real throwing option. For this drill, we're not going to throw them because the main focus of the drill is to get people used to shifting downfield and making the offset lateral cuts.
