Break Lateral to Open Lead Pass by Brummie
This is a useful cutting pattern for handlers when cutting or clearing.
A handler, A, starts with the disc in the middle of the field, marked by D1. A cutter, B, stands 10m downfield, facing A.
D1 > A > B
- D1 checks the disc in
- B cuts laterally to the break side; A fakes to move D1
B should get used to taking cues from A. If A threw to the break side as B turned, then it would result in a turnover. It is therefore good practice that B changes direction only after A fakes.
