Setup:

A handler, A, starts with the disc in the middle of the width of the field, marked by D1. A cutter, B, starts 5-10m downfield of A, guarded by D2

Rotation:

D1 > A > D2 > B

Tips:

  • Brummie says:

A should make it clear if the disc is not coming; a visible or audible fake signals that the long throw is not coming and B should cut underneath

B should expect the initial Away throw and cut hard, but if that throw does not come then they need to plant hard and cut underneath before D2 can adjust

Adding this kind of real-time decision making helps to keep defenders honest, while also developing chemistry between thrower and receiver
