Maartje has been a defensive power for GRUT for 10 years. She was part of the successful mixed team that won 4 times gold and 3 times silver in the European Club season, won Windmill various times and now part of the women's team who is the current European club champion. As a former professional football player, she could transfer her experience there to the game of Ultimate quickly and has been playing for various Dutch national teams since 2015. Next to that she has coached the student team Ultimaas in Maastricht for 5 years.
