Gaël started playing in 2010 and quickly made his debut for France at Beach Worlds in 2011. Since 2018 he has focused on mixed ultimate, including playing the 2022 World Games and winning the 2023 European Ultimate Championship with France, plus a 4th place finish at WUCC 2022 with Mooncatchers.

Gaël coached the France u20 women for three years and the u24 mixed team for one year. He's also a self-certified "rules nerd" and certified Game Advisor.
