Video Editor for Throwing Instruction Project

Flik is looking for a freelance video editor for an exciting new project.  You’ll be tasked with creating a series of throwing videos to add to our vast library of professional world class coaching materials.

Working closely with other Flik coaches, and using video submitted by elite players from across the world, we intend to create a series of instructional videos to help players of all levels to improve their throws, and to help coaches to diagnose throwing errors and improve them.

Ideally, you will be an experienced thrower and/or throwing coach yourself, and therefore able to easily identify what types of throws are in each clip.

Here’s an example of the type of video we’ve produced in the past

The project is not set in stone, so you’ll have some creative input, and we expect your guidance on how to create engaging content.

If you have good throwing skills & coaching experience, then you can also be involved in deciding how to structure the series of videos for best effect, including clip selection, breaking down the detail of what’s being shown on screen, and commenting on how different players get the same overall result using different throwing mechanics.

Knowledge of biomechanics a plus but not required

Successful candidates will be given a few small projects to get started on as part of a trial period, with a view to taking on larger tasks; Flik reserves the right to hire more than one editor to ensure that the project can be completed in good time. Flik always pays contributors for their time, from the very start of the trial. Renumeration will be based on your knowledge, experience, and how well those first trial projects go.

You can work wherever and whenever you want, including flexing hours around busy periods (tournaments, holidays, etc), but we’re looking for someone to commit at least 3 hours per week or equivalent. More is better, but again, this can flex on your availability.

Interested? Great! Drop us an email to hello@flikulti.com with the subject line “Video Editor Application” with some examples of your work (if available), details of your experience in both video editing and as a throwing coach, your expected commitment in hours per week, plus a little bit about you.

P.S. Are you an experienced throwing coach interested in this project, but with no video editing skills? Please reach out anyway, because if we hire a video editor without the throwing know-how, you can work together. Cheers!
