One of the most frequent movements that teams try to generate is "power position"

Power position refers to any situation where a receiver catches the disc while facing downfield and without a mark. It is an excellent scenario to be in because it provides a window where the receiver can scan the field, make a decision, and execute a throw without defensive interference. For example, in Fig. 1 we see a reset handler cut up the sideline, receiving a lead pass, and therefore generating power position; see , and .
