Triangle Throwing by Brummie

A great warmup drill that helps give lots of repetitions and teaches the idea of catching the disc from one direction, turning to face another person, and quickly swinging the disc. This is useful for bypassing defenders.
Setup:
Three players – A, B, C – form an equilateral triangle with each side between 3-10m long; choose a distance that matches your offence
Rotation:
N/A
Step 1

- A swings to B
Pre-Requisite Drills:
None
Tips:
Brummie says:
This drill is best for practicing swinging quickly while not using much space
Aim to catch, pivot and throw as quickly as possible while ensuring each throw is accurate; this is best achieved by pivoting, staying low and throwing hard, rather than trying to catch and release quickly without ensuring the disc has spin. The further apart the players are, the more important this is.
