Sealing the Lane by Brummie
One way to make your give and go moves more effective is to prevent your defender from being able to access the space by "sealing the lane"
Begin with the disc near one sideline with a handler, A, marked by D1, and a cutter B in a central position downfield, marked by D2. Another continuation cutter, C, is positioned further downfield.
A > D1 > B > D2 > C
- D2 begins behind B.
- D1 checks the disc in and B cuts underneath.
- A throws to B coming under Cut Underneath – Open Side
Brummie says:The most important thing for A to focus on is that their throw to B is smooth and effective; a frequent cause of turnovers in this scenario is A rushing their release. A should only run after they have released the disc.
